I still have Sex and Candy stuck in my head, but Jenny Says is pushing its way in.
I went to Rufus's house today. Around 9:30. I walked into his porch and was surprised to find him sitting, looking like he had just woken up, on the bed type thing by the door. He looked like a satiated hobbit. He had just woken up.
He showed me some stuff. Old pictures. He had short blonde hair then. Ew. He played a little ditty on the guitar and it sounded like Jenny Says. Yes! He read my poems/songs and is going to help me put music to them. I think Chris'll have to help with the less happy ones. We had planned on leaving around noon and going jogging, but it was raining pretty badly, so we just stayed there. Then we went out with his mum, ran errands, and ate with his grandmother, grandfather, and sister at IHOP. They reminded me so much of my dad's side of the family! They were cool. They don't like Bush. They were very easy to talk to. Very laid back.
His grandmother brought me home after bringing him to work. We stopped by his house so he could change and I could get my stuff, and Mum called. I felt rude staying on the phone with people around, but she wouldn't get off. Turns out she knows about Joey and Lana. Ms. Reed, her mum, told her. But it wasn't so bad a call. Get to that in a minute.
So it was just her and me on the way to my house, and we made fun of Rufus (right after we ate, he went into Pizza Hut to pick up his paycheck and said, "I'll get some pizza while I'm at it."), and old women who try to show off their flabby, wrinkly bodies. Then we talked about height, because she's tall and I'm not, and she was angry that my own spine had stolen a bit of my height, the fucker. All sorts of subjects were covered. Fun.
Then I came home and got attacked with phone calls; some were fun, some were not. The fun ones resulted in the dismissal of Willy Wonka and the acceptance of BAM'S HARRY POTTER PARTY! YES!! Ms. Reed's going, so Mum doesn't mind. She called my mum, hence the fourth paragraph. Puddles of joy. I'm debating wearing a skirt. Everyone's invited. 9 to 12. Ooh. I need a camera.
So I'm leaving in about an hour. I feel tired now. Not sleepy tired, but more like I've completed an extremely long project. I suppose I have, in a way. And I'm not wearing my glasses. That tends to make me lethargic. When you first wake up and things are still kinda fuzzy.. that's how I always see unless I have them on, and it makes me think of going back to sleep.
I AM SO EXCITED YOU HAVE NO IDEA I LOVE HARRY POTTER AND TIM BURTON AND JOHHNY DEPP AND THEY'RE ALL MAKING ME VERY VERY HAPPY YAAAY
Yeah. Lethargy. That.
